Impact Mission
We believe in the opportunity and responsibility that business has to be a force for good. At NextLeft, we are committed to scaling great brands while driving environmental and social change.
“NextLeft was founded to help drive impact and positive change for ourselves, clients and community. We are a team focused on driving digital marketing success for companies and organization also focused on doing good.” – John McKusick, CEO
Helen Woodward Animal Center
In 2021, NextLeft partnered with Helen Woodward Animal Center, a non-profit established in 1972 where “people help animals and animals help people.” This unique nonprofit organization benefits the community by providing educational and therapeutic programs for people, as well as humane care and adoption for homeless animals.
With the help of our team, NextLeft donated our time and services in-kind to promote and support Helen Woodward through a year-long digital marketing campaign. In addition, NextLeft made a generous donation to the Helen Woodward AniMeals program that aims to keep pets in their home regardless of the logistical or financial challenges faced by our clients which include homebound and low-income elderly, disabled veterans and the homeless. AniMeals coordinates individual pet food packaging and delivery to those in need, and in these times, that includes pet owners who are struggling with the loss of employment due to the COVID-19 outbreak. In 2021, NextLeft partnered with Green Places to Work, an organization unlocking sustainability for business by simplifying impact, and empowering them with easy tools and science backend solutions from climate experts. Through their partnership with UC Berkeley, Green Places to Work was able to easily calculate NextLeft’s carbon footprint, invest in offset strategies on our behalf, and reduce our carbon footprint to carbon neutral. The Future of Impact at NextLeft
In 2021, we evaluated, identified and measured our impact opportunities as an agency to advance the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs). As a result of that assessment, we are making a formal commitment to advance the progress of SDG 14 (Life Below Water) as the focus of our impact initiatives in 2022.
