Website Migration Services
Unfortunately, we’ve found that regardless of the type of migration – from a WordPress migration, to a Magneto migration, to any other type – most clients think it’s just a few clicks start to finish. And they’re sure they can handle it on their own.
What Is a Website Migration?
In short, a site migration is simply the term used to describe how you can change your website’s platform, domain or CMS. Any time you perform a migration, it’s paramount to focus on the technical and strategic aspects that ensure all your data effectively migrates too. Click here for a website migration checkist!
The Components of a Successful Site Migration
A website migration is almost all technical SEO. From information architecture to redirect mapping and URL handling, a migration will require technical expertise throughout the entire process.
In order to determine what content is important or what can be consolidated during the migration, an existing content audit can be very helpful to ensure that no valuable content is lost along the way.
Website Migration Services at NextLeft
We know that website migrations are no easy task. We pride ourselves on our focus on SEO as we help clients successfully and safely migrate their sites. We’ll make sure your content and the SEO juice you’ve worked hard for stays intact throughout the entire process.
It’s no secret that SEO can be a difficult, daunting and time-consuming task to take on yourself. There are a lot of moving parts: keyword research, optimized content creation, best practice and search engine preferences that are continuously changing, constant analysis and reanalysis, and more…
We see SEO as much an art as it is a science. And when it comes to site migrations, without skilled expertise and knowhow, one simple misstep can have disastrous results.
All the money, effort and time you invested into your SEO to earn that high ranking can disappear in seconds if just one little mistake is made during migration. But SEO isn’t the only thing you need to focus on during site migrations.
You also must pay close attention to and analyze your content before, during and after a migration. From mapping URLs to cross checking internal and external links, even small sites have a lot of content to keep track of.

It’s simple… in-house marketing teams can’t do it all, but in order to compete in today’s market they need to. That’s where valuable, sustainable, and trusted partnerships are vital. At NextLeft, we only partner with in-house marketing teams to accelerate marketing efforts and maximize growth. This is what we do best.
Together, our senior digital marketers and your in-house leads, partner to create a lay a foundation, create a sustainable path forward, and ever-improve along the way. Our work is catered to you so that a partnership reduces your workload, not increases it. Just like that… viola! No more unnecessary stress because together we can achieve more.
What can NextLeft do for me?
Today’s consumers are on-the-go and want useful, relevant information on demand. To win in today’s competitive market, your business needs to be visible in top search engine results, provide consumers the information they are searching for, and establish trust. Not a short order… we know. Luckily, we have a plan (& we know it works).
First, before we take on any client at NextLeft we conduct a complimentary website audit. This in-depth audit of your site takes a look at overall site health, technical recommendations, competitor analysis, preliminary keyword research, and highlights big opportunities for online growth. Next, after we review the audit and get feedback, our team creates a proposal that includes strategic recommendations, services, and a timeline. Finally, once you decide to partner with us you are assigned to a pod (your new 2-4 person marketing team extension) that will be on your account for the duration of our partnership. This team will get design and execute your plan while providing ongoing support, transparency, and communication along the way.
How do I know if NextLeft is right for me/us?
We partner specifically with in-house marketing teams, however, sometimes there are unique exceptions. Not sure? Let’s talk it out in the discovery phase. If we aren’t a match, we will give you industry advice on where to go- free of charge.
How does NextLeft manage workflow internally?
At NextLeft, we have a unique workflow because of our pod structure. Each client is assigned to a pod that is composed of a senior client service account manager, as well as, an SEO specialist and/or a paid media account manager.
Why not just hire someone internally?
Sure, you can build the machine yourself, but we don’t recommend it for a few reasons.
The time, effort, and amount of resources you’ll spend to try and find the perfect team to effectively support your business objectives, plus getting them up to speed, paying for the necessary tools (which we already have), and ramping up your own machine far outweighs the cost of partnering with NextLeft.

Do you offer childcare?
Unfortunately, no. However, we will give you time back with your loved ones by simplifying marketing and taking a whole lot off your plate!
How much is this going to cost me?
Just like there is no one-size-fits-all marketing strategy, we don’t have one-size-fits-all pricing for our services. We create custom strategies for each client and work with you to determine what budgets are needed to reach your targets and goals.
That said, there are general minimum budgets needed to really see results. We recommend a minimum monthly budget of $6,000 for ongoing SEO and industry standard for Content Marketing is 25% of annual marketing budgets for production and promotion.
