Why is SEO So Necessary?
In short, SEO is complicated. To do it right, you need both technical and creative savvy. This, in a nutshell, is exactly why it’s so crucial to involve an expert search engine optimization agency in the process.
The era of being able to simply use the right HTML attributes and add a bunch of keywords is long gone. It didn’t take long for Google to catch on to the rampant abuse, attempts to take shortcuts and willingness to try and cheat the system to win coveted top results spots. The result? Google is smarter, faster and one step ahead of us all, and that’s not going to change any time soon. Search engines and their ranking algorithms become more sophisticated every day. There’s no easy, quick, roundabout way to get the rankings you want. You’ve got to put in the work.
But you’re not alone – you can partner with an SEO agency who understands the game and will put in the work for you.
The effects of SEO are broad in nature. SEO is a multifaceted process that needs detailed, dedicated attention. Whether you’re trying to compete in local, regional, national or even global markets, SEO must be one of your primary focuses. And while which tactics will be most effective can widely vary, the principle is always the same: your website needs to be up to date at all times, have quality content and be technically structured so it’s easy for search engines to crawl it. Otherwise, you just won’t rank high enough on the search engine results page (SERPs) for users to ever see you.
When you understand and utilize SEO the right way, you can effectively:
- Increase the chance of earning the highest “score” from a search engine’s proprietary algorithm✔️
- Rank higher on search results pages✔️
- Be seen by more users who are searching for your products or services✔️
The Components Of Successful SEO
Local search is a non-negotiable if you have a physical location. When you optimize effectively, you’ll be toward the top of the search results for a local market. This is key as mobile search becomes even more prevalent in people’s lives. They search in the car, on the road, on the way to finding you. Focusing on local search isn’t just important, it can be a game-changer when it comes to competing against other local brands in your space.
***Think With Google: 76% of consumers who search for a brick and mortar location on their smartphones visit a business within a day***
Also known as “offpage SEO,” technical SEO is the high-tech (back end) part of the process. Search algorithm and script experts can ensure that the software, coding and pages on your site all use best practices and are functional to keep you in Google’s good graces. Ultimately, your technical SEO is a contributor to boosting your SEO and your business potential. The higher you rank, the more power you have.
***Backlinko: The #1 SERP result on Google will have an average Click Thru Rate (CTR) of 31.7% and is 10x more likely to get a click than the 10th result.***
Unlike “Local Search,” eCommerce SEO focuses on brands who sell online to customers anywhere, anytime. Most eCommerce sites use popular shopping cart platforms like Shopify/Shopify Plus, Magento, etc. We’ve got experience in virtually every eComm platform out there, and we can knock your eCommerce SEO out of the park.
***SerpWatch: Studies show that about 39% of eCommerce traffic globally comes from search.***
When you migrate from one system to another, there’s huge potential to lose many of the (hard-won) SEO benefits you put so much time and effort into earning. To protect and preserve your SEO standing, a seamless migration is imperative. The last thing you want is to flip the switch and have the migration be a flop, leaving you, your site and your users wondering what you did wrong. When not properly planned and managed, so much can go wrong. Everything from content and redirect plans failing, to technical checks being missed for robots.txt, canonical URLs, page speed, XML sitemaps and so much more, are all sure ways to fail.
***Impact: More than 73% of users will leave a website (and not return) if they hit a 404 error page.***

Answers to Questions
It’s simple… in-house marketing teams can’t do it all, but in order to compete in today’s market they need to. That’s where valuable, sustainable, and trusted partnerships are vital. At NextLeft, we only partner with in-house marketing teams to accelerate marketing efforts and maximize growth. This is what we do best.
Together, our senior digital marketers and your in-house leads, partner to create a lay a foundation, create a sustainable path forward, and ever-improve along the way. Our work is catered to you so that a partnership reduces your workload, not increases it. Just like that… viola! No more unnecessary stress because together we can achieve more.
What can NextLeft do for me?
Today’s consumers are on-the-go and want useful, relevant information on demand. To win in today’s competitive market, your business needs to be visible in top search engine results, provide consumers the information they are searching for, and establish trust. Not a short order… we know. Luckily, we have a plan (& we know it works).
First, before we take on any client at NextLeft we conduct a complimentary website audit. This in-depth audit of your site takes a look at overall site health, technical recommendations, competitor analysis, preliminary keyword research, and highlights big opportunities for online growth. Next, after we review the audit and get feedback, our team creates a proposal that includes strategic recommendations, services, and a timeline. Finally, once you decide to partner with us you are assigned to a pod (your new 2-4 person marketing team extension) that will be on your account for the duration of our partnership. This team will get design and execute your plan while providing ongoing support, transparency, and communication along the way.
How do I know if NextLeft and their services is right for me/us?
We partner specifically with in-house marketing teams, however, sometimes there are unique exceptions. Not sure? Let’s talk it out in the discovery phase. If we aren’t a match, we will give you industry advice on where to go- free of charge.
How do you manage workflow internally so that this partnership is easy for me?
At NextLeft, we have a unique workflow because of our pod structure. Each client is assigned to a pod that is composed of a senior client service account manager, as well as, an SEO specialist and/or a paid media account manager.
Why not just hire someone internally?
Sure, you can build the machine yourself, but we don’t recommend it for a few reasons.
The time, effort, and amount of resources you’ll spend to try and find the perfect team to effectively support your business objectives, plus getting them up to speed, paying for the necessary tools (which we already have), and ramping up your own machine far outweighs the cost of partnering with NextLeft.

Do you offer childcare?
Unfortunately, no. However, we will give you time back with your loved ones by simplifying marketing and taking a whole lot off your plate!
How much is this going to cost me?
Just like there is no one-size-fits-all marketing strategy, we don’t have one-size-fits-all pricing for our services. We create custom strategies for each client and work with you to determine what budgets are needed to reach your targets and goals.
That said, there are general minimum budgets needed to really see results. We recommend a minimum monthly budget of $6,000 for ongoing SEO and industry standard for Content Marketing is 25% of annual marketing budgets for production and promotion.
